Weiden Freestyle Classic, 9 ? 11 September 05
One the first day of the Weiden Freestyle Classic the Wind kicked in from south direction giving the spectators and the competitors the last summer feelings on lake Neusiedl .

Most of the competitors where using sail sizes 4.5 to 5.0 all the new spectacular moves like Ponch, Shaka, Shove-it into spock where shown by the competitors.
The elimination ladder was filled with 28 competitors, showing Kevin Mevissen (JP/NP) followed by Andre Paskowsi (F2/North Sails), Andrea Rosati (RRD/NP) and Andreas Olanderson (JP/NP). |

It was no surprise to the crowd on the beach that these four guys will fight for the title in Weiden, and finally they ended up exactly to their seeding position.
Another strong performance was shown by the Austrian rider Chris Sammer (F2/ Arrows) and the Italien guy Federico la Crocce (Naish) both of them had to go against one of the top guys like Andre Paskowski (F2/North Sails) and Kevin Mevissen (JP/NP) and they pushed the limits. Fede (Naish) as well as Chris (F2/Arrows) performed on a very high level showing Shaka, Ponch, Flaka-Diablo a couple of switch moves it was for sure one of the best events of this two guys. |
| But it was the style and the speed of the moves performed by Andre (F2/North Sails) and Kevin (JP/NP) which was one step above of the rest of the field in Weiden. |

So the fight for the European champion has to be decided at the last event of this year's tour in Premantura ? Croatia . Kevin (JP/NP) is now 65 points ahead of Andre (F2/North Sails) which means that everything is still open as for the competition in Premantura all the top 16 riders are expected to compete. |
