Ocean & Earth, which is one year into a five year global expansion plan, will further accelerate its growth both in the domestic and international markets with new capital injection.
Founder of Ocean & Earth - Brian Cregan, will remain as equal major shareholder and Chairman. The company which has operated for over 25 years selling O&E branded surf and snow accessories and apparel to 20 plus countries worldwide, has previously relied on organic growth. Ocean & Earth is one of a few remaining independent surf & snow brands to survive in a market now dominated by public companies.
John Sayers, a new shareholder of Ocean & Earth grew up surfing the waves of the south coast of NSW, Australia and is a passionate surfer, snowboarder and pilot who has followed the growth and culture of Ocean & Earth for years. John was one of the founders & shareholders of Regional Express Airlines and is also involved in large property development portfolios. John brings a new direction to Ocean & Earth with his close personal involvement within the surf and snow markets. John’s previous successful business experience will help Ocean & Earth grow even stronger in the future.
Brian Cregan today also announced the appointments of the new CEO’s for the Australian and International companies.
Existing Chief Financial Officer for Ocean & Earth Australia, Phil Mewett, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer for Ocean & Earth Australia Pty Ltd.
With focus on growing the International operation, existing Chief Operating Officer for Ocean & Earth Australia, Paul Munten, has been promoted to the Chief Executive Officer for Ocean & Earth International Pty Ltd.
Ocean & Earth’s stronger brand presence in the USA and selected European countries, along with improving Australian market share, are Ocean & Earth’s Group foremost priorities. Marketing to gain maximum potential from an already strong existing product range will be the major focus to building the companies even stronger solid reputation as a genuine surf and snow brand on a global scale.
