EFPT in Greece, although it’s a new place for the tour everyone already loves it and talks about how important it is that we have this stop on the tour.
Because a lot of riders have fotoshoots, Magazine appointments or just had trouble to come here we will have a small but unbelievable great fleet on the start. And a special guest we welcome again a girl who wants to kick some buts...

As already mentioned we are here for the first time. That’s just great to explore new places, isn’t it one of the reason what makes this sport so interesting? We think so and to come here and have a event straight away makes it even more perfect.
A lot of the usual EFPT suspects have important appointments and couldn’t make it here that’s why we have a quite small fleet of only 11 starters. Anyway the elite is here and also some guys which will probably only compete here, nevertheless these are amazing riders and personalities and everyone is looking forward for the first heats to begin. This situation also gives us the chance to make it a super mellow event. The race director decided to run the first heats with duration of 10 minutes what will give the riders the opportunity to show a lot moves and they can go relaxed on the water and even try moves which they normally wouldn’t do in a tight 5 minutes heat. We’re really looking forward to this.
A lot of top ranked riders made it anyway and they also cant wait to get on the water. Andre Paskowski (F2/North Sails), Normen Günzlein (JP/NP) and Kevin Mevissen (JP/NP) have checked out the conditions already and had a great super session 2 days ago.
As special guests we welcome some British sailors like Simon Hurrey, Andy “Bubble Chambers and Colin Dixon. After they invited the whole EFPT for a unbelievable party during the week they decided to join the competition and see if the guys can sail as hard as they partied in their club. Another competitor who cant wait to get into action is Laure Treboux (Naish/Naish).
As she is also a member of the “Club Vass” crew, located in the south of the island, she takes the opportunity to compete in this event and the boys better get ready, as Laure is an experienced sailor as well…
Nicest thing, and we might have mentioned it, is that the wind doesn’t pick up before 2 pm. So everyone is chilling until this time and can get ready pretty relaxed.
We enjoy being here so much and the word is spreading already so a lot of riders that couldn’t come here are pretty sorry and hope that the present crew will leave a great impression for the Greek crowds, so that Lefkada will be on the plan for 2008.
We have to admit that we’re pretty sure about this and so we sip our iced coffees, play some pool and wait for the wind to kick in…
Check out efpt.net for some stories and enjoy the pics…
