After another summer of windsurfing on Oahu I traveled to 2 trade shows, held in Las Vegas , Nevada , and Orlando , Florida , to represent my clothing

It was my first time in Vegas and I was quite surprised to find that most of the rumors were true:
1: An incredible 110° F (43° C) outside ? like breathing your hair-dryer ? and a chilly 65°F (18° C) inside the hotels/casinos and the convention center where the trade show was held ? talking about wasting energy?
2: Sin city: the famous motto ?what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? proved to be true ? legal gambling and prostitution and drinking on the streets are quite rare sights in the USA .
3: Insane attractions like roller coasters and arcades everywhere, every hotel serves as a casino as well ? when checking in at a hotel you have to walk through the casino before even entering the elevator leading to your room! People (young and old alike) are gambling 24/7 non-stop. You can see sad sights like grandmothers
4: I really appreciated the ?all-you-can-eat? buffets, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner for as low as
$ 9.99! "

Since pictures/actions speak louder than words please check out some of the photos I took on ?the Strip?, the main road going through Vegas.

After this trip I flew back to Oahu, having a layover in Los Angeles ? there are hourly flights leaving Vegas to L.A? I stayed back on Oahu for 10 days, windsurfing and enjoying the nature.

Next stop was Orlando for the Surf Expo, probably the biggest trade show for the watersports industry in the USA . It was especially hard to leave Oahu since the biggest South swell of the season was about to hit ? bummer! Orlando is full-on Disney-world, a great place for kids and grown-up kids as well! The trade show itself was busy and it was good to see that windsurfing seems to have a come-back ? after seeing how few brands were exhibiting last year.

I especially enjoyed (besides a guitar-jam session with some locals and checking out downtown) one night at the Typhoon lagoon, a water park that usually closes at 6 p.m. but stayed open for the Surf Expo event ?til late. We had a blast going on water slides during the full-moon, seeing sexy people all over the place and not being completely sober ourselves!

A big mahalo goes to Robert and Sharon Stehlik, Blue Planet Surf Gear, and Max Beaux for letting us stay at his house in Orlando .Aloha,

Pascal
