|
The first heat was between the young French rider Mereaud and Petrisie (Exocet/Loft). The experience of the caribean rider Petrisie helped him to pass this first round in the again very challenging conditions at the Twins Club – Bredene. This victory encouraged Ruben Petrisie (Exocet / Loft) in his next heats against Filo Buratti (Fanatic/North Sails) and Fede La Croce (Naish) so that he finished the double elimination in 6 th position

But there was no doubt for all the people on the beach of Bredene that the man of the double elimination was Andrea Rosati (RRD/NP) from Italy . The italien routenier managed to come from 17 th position all the way up to finish the double on 4 th position. Perfect combinations wave and freestyle moves impressed the judges so Andrea (RRD/NP) was able to eliminate

Belgium talent Caers Rolli as well as Tine Slabe (F2/Naish), Remko de Weerd (Fanatic/Gaastra), Ruben Petrisie (Exocet/Loft) and even his team mate Matteo Guazzoni (RRD/Simmer)
It was the Swedish rider Andreas Olanderson (JP/NP) who stopped the run of Andrea (RRD/NP) in the battle for the 4 th position. In spite of very heave conditions the guys were able to manage even the most difficult freestyle moves like Funnel, Switch Chacco, Puneta.

Motivated by his victory against Andrea Rosati (RRD/NP), Andreas Olanderson (JP/NP) was on fire to fight against Andre Paskowski (F2/North Sails) for the 3 rd position. It was a very hard fight and also a very close decision but the little bit more solid performance of Andreas (JP/NP) in the Waves of Bredene Beach convinced the judges to give the victory to Andreas (JP/NP), so he moved on to face Norman Günzlein (JP/NP) in the final.
At the beginning of the heat it seems that Andreas (JP/NP) is able to do the big surprise, but the longer the heat continued the performance of Norman (JP/NP) increased a lot and a run of solid hardcore freestyle moves like one handed E-slider, Flaka, Clew first spock into E-slider combination as well as massive forward loops have been arguments enough to take the title of the double elimination. |
