Ross Williams from Great Britain also on the 1st place of the preliminary slalom ranking

The weather was perfect and the wind with an average of 15 knots strong enough to start with the first slalom elimination. 32 riders from four heats with 16 participants made it to the semi final. The fastest 8 of these semi finals made it to the final. It was thrilling to the end. Ross Williams (GBR) won the first elimination in front of Arnon Dagan (ISR) and Adriaan van Rijsselberghe (NED). The acting world champion, Finian Maynard (British Virgin Islands) is on the actual 4th preliminary rank. Though he was dominating the whole elimination to the final, he made a mistake on the last jibing mark and dropped back to the fourth rank. Best Swiss is Richard Stauffacher from Wangs on rank five.
