Beschreibung Land Niederlaendischen Antillen
Two surf Stations, Jibe City and Bonaire Windsurf Place, both are well equiped, and have
great food,
including Presidente and Polar beer
Shallow turquoise blue water in a beautiful bay that is protected from a reef. Huge
standing area great for beginners and free stylers. The whole bay (ca 8km wide is
surrounded by mangroves).
On shore trade winds make it impossible for beginners to make the walk of shame ;-)
Bay is fully protected.
Wind usually, as i experienced till now, in the morning good and towards the evening even
better. From 12:00 til 15:30 the wind is down a little.
High season is December untill middle of May.
Ther is practically "NO NIGHTLIFE" no discos, clubs or bars! Nice and quiet, no Ramba
Zamba, or Ballermann.
All facilities available.
Kon Tiki is the Hotel nearest Surfstation and Beach, 3 min drive, with view over the bay.

Another beautifull place to stay near Kralendijk (5 Minutes) with all its restaurants is
Sonrisa, included shuttle service to the surf beach:

"Bonaire Windsurf Place" is where you can rent material with really friendly and great
service.
Starboards, RRD and Hot Sails

Right next to it you`ll find "Jibe City" also rental equipment and Restaurant.
From the Kon Tiki Hotel/Apartements its`s a 15 min drive to Kralendijk where all the
action is, with many restaurants (aproximately 50) to choose from.
