Gumefens

Well, it's not the Lake of Geneva (Lac Léman) but more north on the lake of Gruyère. Ride from Lausanne to Berne on the Highway passing Fribourg. 10 km south of Fribourg you stop at the Restoroute Gruyère where you have a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains around. To come to the spot, leave the highway at Bulle, follow the cantonal road direction Fribourg and turn right at the sign of the camping.

Take to the left and follow the little road to the lake. With some luck you will have wind and with more luck you will find me at the spot to help you out with more details on better places south and north (I can tell you there about the secret spot M). At the spot you will find clubmembers around the clubhouse, at least during the warm months, toilets and plenty of space to rig, sunbath or whatever. No showers, but clean water anyway. No danger, except some shallow water near the beaches, wood after heavy rains or during snow melting.

Wind: good with southwest, 500 m north we have the better spot called south spot, and more south the excellent but secret spot M., which works only with northeast winds (Bise). hb
