Damit die Semesterferien auch sinnvoll genutzt werden habe ich mal einen Flug nach Hawaii gebucht.
Ich hoffe nur, dass mich dort nicht allzu paradiesische Zustände dort erwarten, sonst bleib ich gleich für immer!

A good day for windsurfing!

Although it was partly raining today, it was a good day for windsurfing! Wind was blowing from 3 to 6 bft and the surf was up at hookipa!
I'll try to upload some pics I took with the videocam as soon as I found an internet cafe.

The last days haven't been windy at all so we took the chance to visit the seven magic pools and the 70 feet waterfall which they showed at the opening scene of Jurassic Park I.
Unfortunatly I had to go back to Oahu today. Its strange but I felt like coming home...

Surfin'

After a few days of windsurfing 'action' (check Windboard) it seems that the wind will drop during the next days.
Its a great pity because all the pros are already here on maui in order to get themselves prepared for the contest but the wind isn't strong enough at hookipa.
Anyway, there are still a lot of other things to do on maui, snorkeling with turtles and dolphins, hiking or jumping down waterfalls for example.

Maui is a beauty

We're glad that we moved to maui because its way nicer here compared to oahu. Unfortunatly also on Maui there's no wind right now but the chance to get good wind is better.
We checked the spots Kanaha, Sprecks and Hookipa. Although Kanaha is an easy spot I think you'll still be able to find some waves outside at the reef.
Hookipa of course is radical and will surely serve great action in the near feature since all the pros are getting prepared for the pwa happening in two weeks.
Also the rainfalls and the jungle like forrests are worth a visit.
